Important Notice about Bulletin and Review Form The Bulletin and the review form were mailed August 11. Since this was a third class mailing to reduce costs, it may take one week or longer for the Post Office to deliver the Bulletin. Parents should expect to receive the Bulletin during the week of August 18.
Because the Jesuit Bulletin and Bulletin Review Form were not included in the traditional summer mailing, the deadline to submit the review form has been extended. This gives students and parents more time to read this important document, although you may choose to Read the Jesuit Bulletin online right now. Bulletin Review Forms will NOT be collected on Book Day; rather, students will submit these forms on Wednesday, August 27 (NEW DATE) in homeroom. If you have any questions, please contact the principal’s office by telephone (483-3817) or by email giambellucam@jesuitnola.org. |

Although the official 2007 – 2008 academic year ended on May 27, activity on Jesuit’s campus did not stop simply because of a date.
From summer camps to important construction to technology updates to academic workshops, Jesuit's campus bustled with various activities that enhanced either the physical plant or the young men who participated in the many summer events. If you happened to be away or if you failed to keep up with the website during the summer hiatus, here’s an opportunity to catch up on the 2008 Jesuit Summer.

Jesuit Wants Your Memories for a Book that Will Chronicle History of JHS A rainy day for this Blue Jay: do you recall your own rainy days at Jesuit?
| Ronald J. “Ron” Drez ’58, a noted author, lecturer, and historian, has agreed to take the lead role in writing a book about the history of Jesuit High School, beginning with its formation by the Jesuits in 1847 and continuing through post-Katrina times. Jesuit High School will publish the book. As part of the wide-ranging research, Drez is encouraging all Blue Jays and their families to contribute something towards Jesuit’s historical archives which will serve as the foundation for much of the book. “Jesuit needs you to pick your brain and submit your significant memories – written or oral -- to this archive,” says Drez, adding that this initial call for memoirs applies to alumni and parents of alumni, current students and their parents, and current and former faculty and staff members.”
