Help Us Form Men for Others
Just as Jesuit’s academic success hinges upon the diligence of our students and teachers, our students and teachers depend upon the alliance of alumni, current and past parents, and friends who continuously support Jesuit through their generosity.
On our mission to pursue God’s greater glory by forming men for others, you play an indispensable role. Your gift matters. No matter what size, every gift makes a difference in the daily lives of our students.
Annual Giving
Annual giving keeps Jesuit accessible to families from all walks of life.
Because the cost to educate a Blue Jay for the 2024–2025 academic year is $16,654 but families are only charged $11,800, $4,854 of the cost each Blue Jays’ education—known as the “gap”—is covered by donors to our annual drives.
- Alumni and current families are invited to contribute each year at whatever level is right for them.
- Last year, over 60 percent of gifts from alumni were between $1 and $499—totaling more than $246,000.
- A $100 current-use gift has the same purchasing power as a $2,000 gift to Jesuit’s endowment.
We invite alumni, parents (current and past), and friends to contribute to our annual giving campaigns. Learn more about annual giving donor levels here. Every donation makes a difference.
Alumni Giving Drive (AGD)
Alumni recognize the value of their Jesuit education and support their alma mater by participating in the annual Alumni Giving Drive to preserve Jesuit’s legacy and traditions for current and future Blue Jays.
Jesuit’s mission of forming men of faith and men for others is challenged each year by rising costs to operate the school: teacher’s salaries, curriculum development, campus ministry, student activities, utilities, building maintenance, and more. Along with alumni and parents of alumni, AGD donors help close the gap between the actual cost of educating a Blue Jay and what families are charged in tuition.
Parents’ Annual Giving (PAG)
Each year, the generosity of Jesuit’s current parents helps ensure that a Jesuit education remains affordable and accessible to students from all walks of life and from every part of the New Orleans area.

Parents of Alumni (POA) and Grandparents
Once a Blue Jay has graduated, we invite grandparents and non-alumni parents to continue to support the work that we do here at Jesuit. Gifts to the Parents of Alumni and Grandparents drives provide important support for our operational budget. This support enables us to strengthen our academic and co-curricular programs.
Guides to Heaven’s Spheres: Renovating and Restoring the Chapel of the North American Martyrs
Seventy years after its construction, the Chapel of the North American Martyrs deserves a renewal that fulfills its capacity for beauty.
Your help will ensure that the saintly examples set by the North American martyrs will continue to be Guides to Heaven’s Spheres for generations of Blue Jays to come.
We owe it to today’s and tomorrow’s students to beautify and elevate this sacred space—to orient our gaze towards Heaven as we continue the work of forming men of faith and men for others. Click here to read the announcement about this initiative for further details.
Endowment & Extraordinary Gifts
Extraordinary giving advances Jesuit’s mission permanently for current and future generations of Blue Jays.
While Jesuit relies on support to its annual giving campaigns each year, benefactors who make endowment or other extraordinary gifts to the school provide the resources necessary for Jesuit to continue to grow and thrive for generations to come.
Extraordinary givers are recognized in substantial ways including permanent naming opportunities.
Scholarships & Financial Aid
Contributions to Jesuit’s scholarship funds are used to strengthen Jesuit’s endowment. Income earned from the endowment’s investments is primarily used for financial assistance to the families of eligible students whose parents cannot afford to pay all or part of the tuition.
You may make a contribution to the general fund for financial aid or to an already existing partial or fully endowed named scholarship.
Endowing a scholarship in the name of a loved one is a unique way to honor and remember the individual while, at the same time, giving a tax deductible gift to Jesuit High School. Scholarships and Full Education Funds are recognized permanently in the first floor of Jesuit’s Madonna della Strada Building at the entrance to the school.
ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIPS
Proceeds from a completed fully endowed scholarship cover the average yearly tuition grant in perpetuity. Currently, a fully endowed scholarship is $75,000.
FULL EDUCATION FUNDS
Proceeds from a Full Education Fund cover the full cost of educating a Blue Jay for an entire year. Currently, a Full Education Fund is considered fully funded when it reaches $250,000.

Planned Giving / Maisonaube Bequest Society
A planned gift can have 200 times the impact of an annual gift.
Planned gifts are tailored to the specific needs and circumstances of each donor. If you would like to extend your support of Jesuit High School or New Orleans to make a lasting impact, there are several gift arrangements to choose from. If you would like more information about beginning the gift planning process, please reach out to Jamie Roy, Jesuit’s major gifts coordinator, at roy@jesuitnola.org or (504) 483-3923.
In recognition of the substantial way in which planned gifts help advance Jesuit’s mission, members of the Jesuit community who remember Jesuit in their wills, bequests and other estate gifts such as life insurance, annuities, remainder trusts, etc., become are named as members of the Maisonaube Bequest Society.
Capital Projects and Special Initiatives
As an institution that is dedicated to consistent growth and improvement, Jesuit is continually engaged in substantial capital projects and special initiatives designed to permanently improve its campus and financial stability.
