Science Awards

2007 -`08

The Bausch & Lomb Science Award is a nationally recognized award presented annually to the student in the junior class who has demonstrated outstanding achievement in the sciences in high school. This year the Bausch and Lomb award was merited by Kanwal S. Matharu ('09).

In addition, Kanwal placed 2nd in Chemistry in the District Literary Rally.  

 

The Rensselaer Medal is also a nationally recognized award that is given annually to the junior who has excelled in both mathematics and science in high school. This year's Rensselaer Medal was merited by Taylor E. Hillburn ('09).

 

 

 

The Frank T. Howard Memorial Award for excellence in Physics was merited by Christopher J. Tosh ('08).

Christopher also placed 1st in the District Rally and 3rd in the State Rally in Physics.

 
Nikhil A. Gopal ('08) placed 1st Overall in Biology II in both the District and the State Literary Rallies.
Christopher B. Reuter ('09) was awarded the Jimmy Kuck Award for Excellence in Chemistry I.

Christopher was 1st Overall in Chemistry in the District Literary Rally and 2nd in the State Rally. 

Daniel T. Cooper ('11) merited the Award for Excellence in Biology.

Daniel placed 1st Overall in Biology I in both the District and the State Literary Rallies.

Nicholas J. Wallbillich ('11) was 2nd in Biology I in the District Literary Rally.

 Mason E. Triay ('10) was 1st Overall in Environmental Science in the District Literary Rally.

Brycen A. Koch ('10) was 2nd in Environmental Science in the District Literary Rally.
Michael M. Ceraso ('12) was 1st Overall in Physical Science in the District Literary Rally and 2nd in the State  Rally. 
Christian L. DeBuys ('12) was 3rd in Physical Science in the District Literary Rally.
