Gordy-Rush-'86

Gordy Rush ’86 is the guest speaker at the 2014 Commencement Luncheon.

This year’s Commencement Luncheon guest speaker is Gordy Rush of the Class of 1986. Gordy is a former standout football player at Jesuit and LSU. Now Gordy is an award-winning broadcaster and media entrepreneur in his native Louisiana. Named the 2013 Broadcaster of the Year by the Louisiana Association of Broadcasters, Gordy transitioned this past season from sideline reporter to color commentator as part of the LSU broadcast team.

The Class of 2014 has 260 members. Tables of ten will have five seats reserved for alumni and five for graduating seniors. Alumni who wish to be seated with a specific senior must provide his name on the registration form. These requests will be handled on a first-come, first-served basis. Seating is limited.

The Commencement Luncheon has become a significant event attended by more than 500 Blue Jays annually. Fathers and sons, uncles and nephews, brothers and cousins all sit together as Jesuit alumni. Each year the luncheon has left an indelible impression on the seniors as well as on the alumni.

Graduates of Jesuit feel that being an alumnus is something very special. The luncheon is designed to help our newest alumni develop and deepen their understanding of that relationship. Therefore, this event is open to Jesuit alumni only.
