Jesuit High School is known around the city for its outstanding academics, athletics, and spirituality. A key component of that success is the school’s Parents’ Annual Giving drive.

“My job as president is to provide for the resources of the school and to ensure that it remains true to its mission. The PAG drive is crucial to both of those points,” said Jesuit president Fr. Anthony McGinn, S.J. “That’s why our goal is 100 percent participation.”

The drive, which has raised in excess of $1 million a year for more than a decade, was established in the mid-1970s by school president Fr. Paul Schott, S.J. when he recognized that tuition was not keeping pace with operational expenses. Pricing tuition at approximately 75 percent of actual cost and making up the difference with annual giving by parents and alumni has been serving the school well ever since.

Jesuit’s mission is to develop in its students the competence, conscience, and compassion to enable them to become men of faith and men for others.

This year’s PAG drive is being chaired by 1985 alumnus Rocky Daigle, the father of both a current Blue Jay and a young alumnus.

“I’m passionate about this drive because I’ve seen Jesuit change lives, including mine. Having students from a wide variety of backgrounds is teaching our sons lessons just as important as the ones they’re learning in math and science classes. And I’m still using those important life lessons every day.”

Parents are urged to make their PAG commitment as soon as possible and no later than Friday, Sept. 16.

Donations to the PAG are tax deductible.
