Class of 1982 Reunites at Lucy’s for 35-Year Reunion
The Class of 1982 chose the final reunion weekend to celebrate their 35th year anniversary. On Saturday, July 15, the ’82ers surfed over to Lucy’s Retired Surfers Bar and Restaurant in the Warehouse District to rekindle the spirit they experienced at Carrollton and Banks.
Bryan Wolff once again took the lead in organizing the celebration. Other members of the reunion committee include Mel Leveque, Miguel Soler, Rob Munch, and former principal Michael Giambelluca. Also, Gerald Herbert hosted local class members and their significant others at his airplane hangar/man cave at the Lakefront Airport the night before the reunion. Special thanks go out to his brother Steve Herbert ’72 for helping with the cooking. At Lucy’s the Blue Jays dressed in casual attire and enjoyed the open bar and buffet in the reserved room upstairs, which includes the new 420 square-foot balcony covering the entire river-facing side of the Tchoupitoulas St. restaurant.
