Golf Takes Second at District, Advances to Regionals

After making a nice birdie putt, senior Jake Kuebel throws his golf bag around his shoulders and moves on to the next hole.
The Jesuit golf team placed second in the District IV Tournament, hosted by winning team St. Paul’s at its home course of Beau Chene Country Club. The Blue Jays, who finished eight strokes behind the Wolves, advanced to the Regional Qualifier set for Tuesday, April 24, at Carter Plantation.

Sophomore Andrew Barreca, playing in his first-ever postseason tournament as a Jesuit golfer, tees off on the par 3. Barreca birdied the hole before this one and finished with Jesuit’s second best score, an 82.
