Regular Order, Day 1

• The varsity football team will face Warren Easton in its season opener tomorrownight at Tad Gormley with kickoff set for 7:00.  Pre-sale tickets will be on sale at the switchboard today and tomorrow from 7:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m.  Pre-sale tickets are $6.00 each for adults, students, and children.  All tickets purchased at the gate are $8.00.   Note that both student ID’s and season passes will not be accepted at the gate.
• The Student Council is sponsoring a tailgate tomorrow before the football game at Tad Gormley starting at 5pm.
• Tomorrow will be our first Blue and White day of the school year.  Wear a Jesuit imprinted t-shirt or a blue, white, or blue and white collared shirt to school tomorrow in place of your regular school shirt to show your Blue jay Spirit.
• Used booksale money may be picked up this week at the switchboard.
• Intramural football registration forms are now available through your homeroom teachers.  Forms and fees are due next Thursday, September 6, to Room 114.
• The Creative Writing Club will meet today during the first half of lunch in Room 210.
• The Fishing club will meet today during the first half of lunch in Room 230. New members are welcome to attend. 
• All seniors and juniors who volunteered to assist new students in the Academic Support Program will meet today during the first half of lunch in Room 304.
• Students interested in joining the Biotechnology Club should meet today during the first half of lunch in Room 317.
• The French Club will meet today during first half of lunch in Room 318.
• All Sodality levels will meet today during the second half of lunch. Seniors will meet in Room 222; Juniors in Room 231; Sophomores will meet in the chapel; and freshman in Room 224. All freshmen interested in Sodality are welcome to attend.
• Varsity Quiz Bowl is holding try-outs today during the second half of lunch in Room 228. Current members may attend to assist, but will not need to try out again.
• All returning varsity and JV baseball players will meet today during the second half of lunch in Room 329 .
• The Jesuit Medical Society E-Board will meet today during the second half of lunch in Room 403.
• Students interested in trying out for the golf team as well as current team members will meet today at 3:10 p.m. in Room 132.
• Student Ministry will meet tomorrow morning at 7:15 in Room 329. See Mr. Flores if you cannot attend.
• The St. Peter Claver Club will meet tomorrow during the second half of lunch in Room 210.  Note the change in day and location.  new members are welcome.
• This Friday we will celebrate the Mass of the Holy Spirit.  Students are to come to school wearing a dress coat, dress shirt, tie, slacks, belt, dress shoes and socks. Student’s may wear a suit if they wish.
• Bookday picture retakes and makeups will take place this Friday after the Mass of the Holy Spirit in St. Ignatius Hall.
• Seniors: you are invited to attend College Information Night for Seniors and Parents tonight at 7:30 p.m. in the Auditorium. Topics to be covered include: early deadlines, scholarship opportunities, and the nuts and bolts of Jesuit’s college application policy. As there have been major changes to the application requirements for many popular universities, both parents and students are strongly encouraged to attend this one hour presentation.
