Bowling Setting the Lanes Ablaze with 5-0 Winning Streak
Season Recap
Blazing down the lanes with a 5-0 winning streak the bowling Blue Jays are on fire. A great start to the 2019 season the Jesuit varsity bowling team saw victories over Rummel (20 – 7), Holy Rosary (26-1), Kenner Discovery (25-2), Bonnabel HS (24-3), and St. Augustine (26-1). With high expectations for the 7 remaining matches returning seniors Adam Francis, Bradley Fugetta, Alex O’Neil, and Jake Stiegler hope to lead the team all the way to State. Also returning to the team this year are sophomore Ben Hunn and freshman Luke Wood who have two of the highest match scores thus far—257 and 264, respectively. However, Stiegler takes the cake on both the highest match score and series score—266 and 681. Showing lots of promise and rounding out the rest of the team are newcomers sophomores, Gary Sims and Jonah Anderson, and pre-freshman William Adams.
