What to Know About Jesuit Baseball as District Begins
The Jesuit High School (JHS) baseball team closed out tournament play with a 2-1 down-to-the-wire loss to fellow Jesuit school, Seattle Prep (SP), in the Gerald Oubre Tournament at John Ryan Stadium. The Blue Jays’ first game was played at Destrehan, where they lost 3-1; and their last two games were home games, the first of which ended in Jesuit’s favor over Fort Worth (FW) Country Day, 4-0.
The Oubre Tournament was the last tournament before district play, which begins this week with the Jesuit-Brother Martin rivalry. The Blue Jays (11-5) will host the Crusaders at John Ryan Stadium on Tuesday, March 19 (6:30PM). The teams will then play their second game at Kirsch-Rooney Stadium at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
