It’s time to celebrate Blue Jay Wrestling. And a big part of that celebration is connecting with today’s team while welcoming home those Blue Jay wrestlers who are the foundation of today’s program.

Wrestling alumni and their families (children, parents, grandparents, and those who cheered them on) are invited to the Jesuit Wrestling Homecoming on Thursday, Oct. 24, 2019. Alumni who want a “Jesuit Wrestling Alumnus” t-shirt should register by October 16!

The wrestling celebration will unfold as follows:

• 6 p.m. – Wrestling alumni, their families (including those who cheered them on), and the 2019-20 Jesuit team and their families gather in the Gayle & Tom Benson Arena. Today’s team will hold a senior-led practice on the mats from 6 – 6:45 p.m. as alumni gather in the arena.
• 6:45 p.m. – You will have a chance to meet the team and Coach Sheridan Moran, the leader of today’s wrestling program. From 6:45 – 7 p.m., only wrestling alumni will huddle with the team for a speech, a recognition of special guests, an end-of-practice prayer, and a group photo.
• Following the team/alumni huddle, all are welcome to enjoy dinner, compliments of the Advancement Office and the parents of today’s wrestlers.
• 7-7:30 p.m. – All parents, friends, alumni, and current wrestlers will gather for dinner in the bleachers and along the reserved space (off of the gym floor).
• 7:30-8:15 p.m. – Alumni chaplain Fr. Paul Shaughnessy will lead everyone in closing prayer. Head coach Sheridan Moran and other members of the committee will give closing remarks. At 8 p.m., the maintenance team will begin picking up tables and food while guests are welcome to mingle. Wrestlers will roll up the mats.

RSVP by October 16 if you are a wrestling alumnus and want a “Jesuit Wrestling Alumnus” t-shirt. RSVP by October 21 to help us with planning and ordering food. We look forward to welcoming you back to Carrollton and Banks to celebrate the Jesuit Wrestling Homecoming on October 24, 2019. Please pass the word on to other alumni of the Jesuit wrestling program.
