Seven Period Day, Day 6A
- Student 2 Student will meet today and tomorrow during the second half of lunch in Room 202.
- The Service and Social Justice League will host Dr. Sue Weishar to give a presentation on immigration, Catholic social teaching, and her 14 years as Director of Immigration and Refugee Services with Catholic Charities of New Orleans. Dr. Weishar will present this Wednesday during the first half of lunch in Room 304. Interested students and faculty are invited to attend.
- Halloween Movie Night will take place next week on Wednesday, Oct. 30, at 7:00 PM in the Auditorium. All students are invited to attend this free event and may invite friends from other schools.
- Seniors: this is the last week for college application workshops. College counselors will be available in CL-3 on Tuesday and Thursday from 7-7:45 before school and from 3-3:45 after school. Stop by with any questions you may have.
- Admission representatives from University of Chicago, Davidson College, and Georgetown University will be available during lunch today in Rooms 120, 121, and 122.
- All 9-12 intramural football captains and referees will meet tomorrow during the first half of lunch on Will Clark Field.
- Top’s tip of the day: When you are disruptive in a classroom you are disrespectful to the students and teacher as well.
Results:
- The Varsity Football team came up short Friday night as the John Curtis Patriots won at Yulman stadium 35-14. Offensively, Grant Jordan and Luke Laforge both scored touchdowns. Defensively, Senior Defensive ends Evan Tafarro and Ethan Branch led a gallant effort. Good Luck this Friday as the Shaw Eagles are next up in league play.
- Congratulations to the JV football team as they rallied to defeat the John Curtis Patriots at John Ryan Stadium, 18-14 this past Saturday. Offensively Sophomore quarterback Jack Larrivierre rushed for two touchdowns and threw a touchdown pass to Junior Receiver Max Milano for the other score. The defense was led by a relentless effort from the defensive line led by defensive tackle Joe Barnett and defensive end Luke Carlton.
