Regular Order, Day 5
- Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament will take place today in the 2nd floor chapel. Benediction will begin at 12:50.
- The varsity football team will face John Curtis in the quarterfinal round of the state playoffs tonight at Hoss Memtsas Stadium with kickoff set for 7:00 p.m. Pre-sale tickets are $8.00 each and available at the switchboard today until 3:30 p.m. Gate tickets are $10.00 each. Student ID’s and season passes are not accepted at the gate.
- The Jesuit Philelectic Society continues its run of You Can’t Take It With You with performances tonight at 7:30 and Saturday at 2 and 7:30.
- Politics and Pastries will meet today during lunch in Room 323.
- The Astronomy Club will meet today during the first half of lunch in Room 319.
- The Blue Jay newspaper will meet today during the first half of lunch in Room 408. Any interested writers or photographers are invited to attend. Assignments, especially for the coverage of the Thanksgiving Drive, will be made. See Mr. Mahne for more information.
The Classic Rock Club will meet today during the second half of lunch in Room 203. - The Heavy Metal Society will meet today during the second half of lunch in Room 311.
- The varsity swimming team will compete in the state meet prelims this afternoon in Sulphur starting at 4:00. The finals take place on Saturday afternoon starting at 3:00.
- The varsity wrestling team will compete in the Gulf Coast Clash in Mobile tonight and on Saturday.
- The 9th grade basketball team will compete in the Hahnville Tournament on Saturday.
- The varsity soccer team will play at Lafayette High tonight starting at 6:00.
- Monday morning we will meet in homeroom and not at assembly to prepare for the Thanksgiving Drive.

- Results:
- On Monday, the basketball team defeated South LaFourche 66-64. Holden Hess hit two free throws late to help secure the win. Josh Washington led all scorers with 22, Porter Lichtl scored 19 and Kyle Haupt added 11. Porter also pulled down 8 rebounds.
- The cheerleaders competed in the UCA Regional Cheer Competition where they earned a runner-up finish and received a bid for the National Competition in Orlando. Members of the team include: James Alvarez, Ben Babin, Ryan Griffin, Stefan Hernandez-San Martin, Max Howenstine, and Chance McGee. Congratulations.
- The varsity tennis team traveled to Baton Rouge on Saturday to scrimmage the defending State champions, Catholic High Baton Rouge, and came away with a meaningful team victory, winning 9 out of 15 matches. Among the winners were Jojo Sandoz and Pierce Westbrook at line one doubles, Wes Melito and Nick Crockens at line three doubles, Tom Levy and David Webster at line four doubles, and Luke Russo and James Bostick at line five doubles. Also winning singles matches were Keating Landry, Tom Levy, David Webster, James Bostick, and Luke Russo. Congratulations to the varsity tennis team for their success.
- The Blue Jay Robotics Team recently went to Destrehan High School for their first qualification tournament of the year. The team won all 6 of their matches, and made it to the playoffs as the top seed. In the semi-final round the BlueJay’s alliance won two of three matches to advance to the finals where they went undefeated. As captain of the winning alliance, the Jays qualify for the Louisiana State Championship to be held in February. Congratulations to the Blue Jay Robotics Team!
