Seven Period Day, Day 1A

• All returning varsity football players must meet tomorrow at 7am in the Roussel building.
• Students participating in the YMCA Model UN Conference will meet tomorrow during the 2nd half of lunch in Room 214.
• The Academic Games team will compete in the first round of the Presidents tournament after school tomorrow in the cafeteria. Please see Mr. Holmer today if you cannot attend.
• All members of the junior class must attend a meeting this week in order to receive materials and information necessary for the scheduling of senior courses for next year.  Meetings will be held during the first half of the lunch period in St. Ignatius Hall or Room 231. Juniors in Program I will meet tomorrow; Program II will meet on Wednesday, January 8^th; Program III will meet on Thursday, January 9^th; and Program IV will meet on Friday, January 10^th.  If you are unsure of the curriculum program that you are following, please ask your homeroom teacher.  Please do not fail to attend your particular meeting – it is important.
• Top’s tip of the day: A new quarter gives us a new start.  Do not repeat the same mistakes as last quarter.
• Results: Before Christmas the 8th grade basketball team won a thriller against John Curtis.  Trailing 38-36 with 3.6 seconds left, Jude LaForge hit a deep, running 3-pointer at the buzzer to give the Jays the victory. LaForge led all scorers with 17 points. Will Homes had 9, and Koby Young had 6. Harry Treigle led a great all-around defensive effort from the team. Congratulations.
