Assembly Order #1, Day 1
- Varsity football tryouts will be held today immediately after school in the Roussel building. If you missed the tryout meeting, see Coach Songy before Wednesday.
- Pre-freshmen trying out for the 8th-grade baseball team will meet today during the first half of lunch in Room 115. Try-outs begin on Thursday.
- The Anime Club will meet today during the first half of lunch in Room 120.
- The Creative Writing Club will meet today during the first half of lunch in Room 210.
- All Sodality levels will meet today during the second half of lunch. Seniors will meet in the chapel. Sophomores will meet for lunch. Juniors and Freshmen will be in their normal rooms.
- The St. Peter Claver Club will meet today during the second half of lunch in Room 210.
- The Investment Club will meet today during the second half of lunch in Room 334.
- The Barbershop Blue Jays will meet today at 4:00 in Room 202.
- The varsity wrestling team will face Shaw in a dual meet tonight at Shaw starting at 6:30.
- The 8th grade basketball team will host Newman this evening in the Benson Arena starting at 5:30.
- Did you hear about the atheist Chess player who kept sacrificing his bishops? You can help save this heretic at today”s Chess Club meeting at 3:00 in Room 332.
- The Ultimate Frisbee Club will meet tomorrow during the first half of lunch in Room 320.
- Students attending Unity Day on Jan. 31 will meet tomorrow during the second half of lunch in Room 206. See Mr. Combe prior to that if you cannot attend the meeting.
- The Spanish Club will meet tomorrow after school in the Commons for Latin cooking. Come learn how to make delicious homemade flour tortillas.
- Tomorrow our undefeated Bowling Team will face off against Brother Martin. The match runs from 3:20-5:15pm at AMF All-Star Lanes in Kenner. Admission is free. In addition, Thursday will be a Blue and White Day. Wear a blue, white, or blue and white collared shirt, or a Jesuit imprinted t-shirt to show your support for our Blue Jay bowlers.
- Mu Alpha Theta students interested in attending the Brother Martin Tournament on Saturday, Feb. 15, should sign up on the bulletin board outside of Room 328. If you have not yet attended a competition this year, this is your last chance before State Convention.
- Intramural basketball forms are available outside Room 112. Forms and fees are due Friday to Room 112. Information about intramural basketball can be found posted on the first floor bulletin board.
- Winners of the Cafeteria’s Chinese New Year are: Wesley Melito, Jason Ha, Chris Martinez, Jackson Stopa, and Hunter Peterson. Please see Ms. Ann in the Cafeteria to claim your prize. Make sure to wear your name tag. Thanks to everyone who participated!
