The Jayettes dance team will host tryouts for the 2020-2021 team. Tryouts are for girls entering or attending an all-girl Catholic High School from 8th to 12th grade as well as daughters of former Jayettes and Jesuit alumni. Tryouts will consist of two judging rounds. At the end of round 1, girls will be informed if they are invited to participate in round 2.

Details:

Prior to tryouts everyone will be required to fill out an online Jayette Registration Form which will be due Friday, May 1, 2020. All participants will be required to pay a $25 registration fee via PayPal also due Friday, May 1, 2020. Please list the candidate’s name in the notes of the payment. Candidates for the 2020-2021 Jayettes dance team will submit a video of technique and skills to be judged in this first round. Please ensure that you have ample space to complete all skills. Everyone, including returning Jayettes, is required to participate in this first round of tryouts. Girls will be informed if they are invited to participate in round 2 by Monday, May 11, 2020. Attire for video submissions will be a black leotard, black shorts, tan stockings, and jazz shoes with hair pulled back.

Tryout Round 2

Details:

Tryout round 2 will consist of a choreographed routine. Specific details on how round 2 will be conducted will be released shortly after the completion of round 1.
