Alumni Captains’ Meeting a Huge Success at John Ryan Stadium

On Tuesday, Sept. 1, over 60 leaders from the classes of 1951 through 2016 gathered at John Ryan Stadium for an alumni class captains’ meeting. Since COVID-19 restrictions prevented the meeting from taking place indoors at Jesuit, the meeting was moved outdoors, where the participants could spread out in the grandstand at the stadium.
After enjoying hamburgers grilled by members of the Class of 2006, the group was addressed by interim president Fr. John Brown, S.J., about the school’s response to current restrictions and progress on construction projects. Tom Bagwill, director of institutional advancement, then led a discussion about procedures for this year’s Alumni Giving Drive.
Lastly alumni director Michael Prados ’83 spoke about recent and upcoming events, revised plans for class reunions, and ways to stay connected with classmates. The alumni were glad to hear that the state of the school is strong as it adjusts to the times and continues to move forward and promote the mission of Jesuit High School.
