Day 6A
- Confessions will be offered today during the 2nd half of both lunch periods.
- Thursday will be a Blue and White Day. Wear a blue, white, or blue and white collared shirt or a Jesuit imprinted t-shirt to show your Blue Jay Spirit.
- Students interested in trying out for the 9th grade or JV basketball teams will meet today after school in the Benson Arena. See Coach Jennings or Coach Hernandez with any questions.
- The swimming team will face Rummel this afternoon at Bissonet starting at 4:30.
- The varsity golf team will face both St. Augustine and Rummel this afternoon at Bartholomew starting at 4:00.
- Student Ministry will meet Thursday at 7:15am in Room 306. See Mr. Flores if you cannot attend.
- The varsity football team will open its season Friday night vs. Helen Cox at Hoss Memtsas Stadium with kickoff set for 7:00. Adult, student, and children tickets are $10.00 each. There is no pre-sale for this non-district contest as tickets will be available for purchase only at the gate. Ticket sales begin at 5:30. Note that the stadium capacity allows for a limited amount for seating.
- The varsity football team will play Brother Martin next Saturday night at 7pm at Hoss Memtsas. There are a limited number of tickets available for this game. Student tickets will be sold this Thursday and Friday during lunch in the Commons for $5. There is a one student, one ticket policy. Note that this is likely the only opportunity students will have to purchase game tickets for next Saturday’s game. There will be no tickets sold at the gate. Also, football players, band members, and cheerleaders are allotted two $10 parent tickets which will be sold during lunch on Thursday and Friday. These tickets as well any remaining student tickets will also be sold on Monday from 10-12 at the switchboard. After Monday the remaining tickets will be released for sale to the general public starting on Wednesday at the switchboard.
- Seniors who have not completed a service project are reminded to log onto the Canvas course page and sign up for a day of service. See Mr. Murphy in Room 225 with any questions.
- Seniors: Counseling Request Forms for college applications that have deadline dates between October 16th and November 16th are due on Wednesday, September 30th. Please see your college counselor with any questions.
- Admission representatives from St. Edward’s University and College of Charleston will be available immediately after school today in Rooms 120-122.
- Coach’s Comment: Pride in the appearance of our campus is the responsibility of all of us…not just the people who are hired to clean up for us after school hours. The great things that come with being a Blue Jay are made possible by small actions we choose to take every day. Keep our campus clean. When you see trash on the ground, stop and handle it.
