Today is Friday, January 8, 2021

Day 5

  • Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament will take place today in the 2nd floor chapel.
  • Room changes for today: Coach Bairnsfather’s 3rd period PE class will meet in Room 222. Coach Ursin’s 3rd period PE class will meet in Room 223. Coach Giambelluca’s 6th period PE class will meet in Room 203. Coach Moran’s 6th period PE class will meet in Room 212.
  • The Student Council Ping Ping tournament will continue today. Winners of the 9th, 10th, and 11th grade levels still must be decided. Championship rounds begin next week.
  • The Service and Social Justice Club will meet today at the start of both lunch periods. First lunch will meet in Room 132. Second lunch will meet in Room 214.
  • Students interested in Calliope, Jesuit’s arts and literary magazine, will meet today after school in Room 221.
  • All members of the junior class in Program II must attend a meeting today in order to receive materials and information necessary for the scheduling of senior courses for next year.  The meeting will be held during the first half of both lunch periods in the auditorium.  If you are unsure of the curriculum program that you are following, please ask your homeroom teacher.  Please do not fail to attend your particular meeting – it is important.
  • Seniors who are interested in organizing a senior spring intramural sports league will meet today during the break in Room 112.
  • All track and field throwers will meet on Monday at 3:45 in front of the Roussel Building. Please dress for practice.

Results:

  • The 8th grade basketball team defeated Brother Martin Wednesday by a score of 41 to 33. Leading scorers were Jasper Parker with 20 and Jacob Washington with 13. Thursday they defeated John Curtis 32-19 with a balanced scoring attack that included Parker with 8, Brady Mullens with 5, Harrison Gootee with 5, and Sam Macaluso with 6. Frank Finicle was a beast defensively and on the boards both games.
