While the Jesuit wrestlers might have come up short on their goal of winning the state championship, many wrestlers achieved great individual success in this final meet. Senior Garrett Derbes said, “Our wrestlers performed well, and we had underclassman perform especially well.” He is referring to the outstanding performances by Spencer Lanosga (2^nd), Michael Bourgouis (3^rd), and Chase Haydel (6^th) in their respective weight classes. He also added, “The overall attitude coming out of state is excitement, because the program is only going up and will be a state championship team in a couple years.” Congratulations to the wrestling team for a great season.
