Regular Order, Day 3
- The Mission Drive Silent Auction begins today. Place your bids for items including a Pizza Dinner with Mr. Knight for 4, Movie Night in the Auditorium for 10, Gizzard merch pack, and even the rights to shave Mr. Serpas’ mustache. Fill out your bid form outside the Campus Ministry office. The deadline to submit your bids is this Wednesday at lunch. Winners will be announced after the Easter break. See Mr. Flores with any questions.
- The junior varsity track and field team will compete in the district meet this afternoon and evening at Joe Yenni Stadium. Field events begin at 3:00, while the running events follow at 5:00.
- The jv baseball team plays at Shaw this evening starting at 5:30.
- The 8th grade baseball team faces De La Salle this afternoon at Mike Miley starting at 4:30.
- The varsity tennis team will compete in the regional tournament today at City Park beginning at 8:00.
- Forms and deposits for the 8th grade trip to San Antonio are due tomorrow to Room 114.
- Second-notice printing fees were distributed in homeroom. Students who received a bill must pay their fee before the end of the lunch hour on Wednesday, April 13. Failure to pay your bill will result in the loss of computer services and a P.H. Payments will be accepted in Room 215 before school, at ten-minute break, and during the lunch hour.
Results:
- On Friday, the varsity baseball team defeated Northside Methodist from Alabama 3-0. Lee Bridgewater and Bryce Pitts combined for 10 strikeouts in the game.
- Lacrosse picked up two victories over Brother Martin Saturday. Varsity came away with a 16-5 win. Nick Frischhertz was the leading scorer with 2 goals and 3 assists. Jack Sutherlin and John Calhoun scored 3 goals each. Tyler Autin, David Martin, and Michael Welsh each had 2 goals. Aidan Couvillon scored 1 goal and assisted on another. Junior Austin Stuke had 4 takeaways, and Junior Goalie Ethan Lago saved 75% of shots on goal. JVA followed with a shutout, beating Brother Martin 9-0.
