Blue Jays Hold Ugly Sweater Contest to Wrap Up Second Quarter
While the Jesuit community is observing Advent in preparation for the Christmas season, Blue Jays also observed the last school day of the second quarter with an ugly sweater contest. The annual event, put on by members of the Student Council Executive Board, challenges students to show up to school in their most striking and creative ugly sweater—and this year’s entrants did not disappoint.
Two top prizes were given with participants being given the option to vie for a Playstation or Xbox gift card. Coming away with the Xbox prize was pre-freshman Garrett Wall with his singular “North Swole” sweater. In the Playstation division, freshmen twins Niels and Matty Bennett seized first place with their twin-themed snowman sweater.
Congratulations to the winners and to every student who participated, and good luck to all students on their upcoming semester exams.
