Assembly Order #1, Day 5

• Today is Career Day. We will follow an Assembly Order #1 today where all career-oriented activities will take place during the morning assembly period from 8:00 – 9:05 a.m. All grade levels will begin the day in their homerooms and will be dismissed to their appropriate areas of the school over the intercom. Juniors and seniors will listen to and interact with alumni guests from various career fields. The complete list of professions and speakers is posted on the Guidance page on Canvas and in junior and senior homerooms. Pre-freshmen, freshmen, and sophomores will hear a career presentation in the auditorium by Dan Clancy, ’81. Mr. Clancy, an American technologist and computer scientist, is currently the CEO of the livestreaming platform Twitch. Please see Mrs. Strain in the Guidance office if you have any questions.
• The books ordered from Jason Evert have arrived. If you ordered a book, you can pick it up today through Thursday outside of the campus ministry office during the first half of lunch.
• The Jesuit Men of Color will meet today during the first half of lunch in Room 210.
• The Creative Writing Club will meet today during the first half of lunch in Room 116. 
• Sodality will meet today during the second half of lunch one classroom down from the normal meeting rooms. 
• The Acoustic Guitar Club will meet today during the second half of lunch in Room 330.
• Students attending the Mu Alpha Theta Tournament at Catholic High this Saturday will practice today through Thursday of this week during the second half of lunch. Algebra 2, Precalculus, and Calculus students will meet in Room 227, 229, & 231. Pre-Algebra, Algebra 1 and Geometry students will meet in Room 330.
• All pre-freshmen and freshmen attending the Math Tournament at Catholic in Baton Rouge will have practice today through Friday during the second half of lunch in Room 330.
• The Barbershop Blue Jays a Capella singing group will meet today from 3:15-4:15 in Room 202.
• There will be a Candidate Fitness Test for seniors who are applying to a Service Academy today after school in Room 110. See Lieutenant Colonel Himel in the Marine Corps Junior ROTC Office with questions.
• The 8^th grade soccer team will face The Willow School this afternoon at Lafreniere starting at 4:00.
• The 9^th grade soccer team will face Brother Martin at Lafreniere starting at 5:15.  The jv game follows at 6:30.
• Beach volleyball sweatshirt order forms and money are due tomorrow. The order form can be found on Canvas.  If you have any questions, see Mrs. Catalano. 
• Any 8^th or 9^th graders interested in joining the Track team will meet tomorrow during the first half of lunch in Room 212. 
• Juniors interested in learning more about a Service Trip to the Southern Border where we will spend a week working with the migrant population in Southern Texas should attend an informational meeting tomorrow during the first half of lunch in St. Ignatius Hall. 
• Students going on the Kairos retreat this Thursday to Sunday may store their overnight bags in the auditorium for the school day on Thursday. The room will be locked starting at homeroom and will remain locked until the school day is over. Departure from the auditorium will be promptly at 3:30pm.
