Jesuit Welcomes Back Students for Registration Day 2024
Blue Jays gathered for Registration Day, marking the beginning of the 2024-2025 academic year. From pre-freshmen to seniors, students navigated various essential steps for the term ahead. Faculty and staff worked diligently to ensure all students are ready for the start of classes.
The day began with excitement as students reconnected with classmates they hadn’t seen all summer. Handshakes and cheerful greetings filled the air, creating an atmosphere of camaraderie and anticipation. Seniors received their senior shirts and embraced their new status as leaders on campus. In the spirit of being Men for Others, many also served as big brothers, along with some juniors, to guide the pre-freshmen through stations set up on the first two floors of the school.
Students completed forms, submitted paperwork, took pictures, picked up name tags, and purchased P.E. uniforms. Additionally, they learned how to connect to their school emails, a crucial step facilitated by faculty and staff. Big brothers played an essential role, showing pre-freshmen how to operate lockers, a task that often requires a bit of practice and patience. Disciplinarian, Michael Armelin, was on hand to brief blue jays on Jesuit’s expectations for conduct and procedures. This added a layer of discipline and order to the day’s activities.
Registration Day serves as the unofficial start of the school year, to be followed by Investiture for new students on August 14 and the commencement of classes for all students on the following day. Families are encouraged to regularly check the Jesuit calendar for the most current information and the bulletin for student code of conduct and other student behavior guidelines.
