Regular Order, Day 6

• The Closing Ceremonies of the Welcome Week Olympics will take place today during the second half of lunch in the Commons.
• Mass of the Holy Spirit is tomorrow. We will meet in homeroom tomorrow. 9th-12th grade will be dismissed after Mass. 8th grade will stay on campus for the 8th grade retreat. Students should wear coat and tie on Friday for Mass. Suits are acceptable. Dress shoes, dress socks, and a belt should be worn. School shoes and socks are acceptable. It is not necessary to bring your bookbags tomorrow. 8th graders are reminded to bring a change of casual clothes for the retreat, which can be left in homeroom during Mass.
• The varsity football team will face Northshore in the Northshore Jamboree tonight with kickoff set for 7:15.  The junior varsity jamboree begins at 6:00, while the 9^th grade session begins at 5:00.  Admission is $10.00.  All tickets must be purchased using this Go Fan link.
• Upperclassmen who have signed up as small group leaders for the 8^th grade retreat must attend one of the following meetings with Mr. Bacon. The first meeting is today after school at 3:15 in Room 110. The second meeting is before Mass tomorrow morning at 7am in the Campus Ministry office.
• All house prefects and assistant prefects should see Mr. Orillion today during 10-minute break in the courtyard.
• The Fishing Club will meet today during the first half of lunch in Room 313. 
• Any students interested in trying out for the Jesuit golf team will meet today during the first half of lunch in Room 223.  
• Acoustic Guitar Club will meet today during the second half of lunch in Room 330.
• Students in the Ray Dass Merit Program should report today after school to CL1 and CL2.  Please bring your College Board login information with you.  Testing will begin at 3:30.
• Coach Kenny’s sprint and field group will begin practice Tuesday, Sept. 3.  Fall practice will be Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday 3:30 -4:45 at the City Park practice track.
• Picture retakes and makeups with Loupe Photography will take place tomorrow after the Mass of the Holy Spirit in St. Ignatius Hall.
• Students interested in serving breakfast this Fall at Grace at the Greenlight, a soup kitchen for the homeless in the city of New Orleans, should see Mr. Delatte to pick up a permission form.
• Today is the deadline to sign up a team for Intramural flag football for all 10-12 graders. Games begin next week. Any team’s members with an inappropriate name will receive a PH.
• Seniors interested in specific scholarships that require a nomination from Jesuit High School should review the application found on Canvas: College Counseling.  The deadline to submit the application, short essays, and resume is Wednesday, Sept. 4.  See your college counselor with questions.
