Regular Order, Day 3
- Tomorrow we will follow an Assembly Order #2 for a Guidance Assembly. All 8th, 9th, and 10th graders will report to the Benson Arena for a presentation by Mrs. Tanya Stewart, an expert mental health professional who specializes in working with teens. Mrs. Stewart will present on identifying common mental health issues, substance use, and self-care. All juniors will attend a College Counseling presentation, and seniors will have Ring Mass rehearsal in Auditorium.
- The varsity football team will host Jesuit Dallas in the season opener tomorrow evening at Tad Gormley Stadium with kickoff set for 6:00 p.m. Pre-sale tickets are available for purchase at the front desk from 7:15-3:30 daily. Pre-sale tickets are $10.00 each for adults and non-Jesuit students and $5.00 each for Jesuit students and children (ages 6-11). All tickets purchased at the gate are $15.00 each. Note that student ID’s will not be accepted at the gate for this non-district contest.
- Tomorrow will be a Blue and White Day. Wear a blue, white, or blue and white collared shirt or a Jesuit imprinted t-shirt tomorrow to show your Blue Jay Spirit. See below for guidelines.
- The theme for tomorrow’s football game is a Blue Out. Also, wear your Jayson hats to the game. Jayson hats can be purchased this week for $20 in the Blue Jay Shop and tomorrow during lunch in the Commons. Jayson hats will return to their regular price of $25 next week.
- Co-curricular Rush Days will continue today during lunch in the Commons. This is a great opportunity for students to join a club. See below for list of clubs.
- LSU lost their season opener. Are the Saints next? Discuss this and more in today’s Sports Analysis Club during the second half of lunch in Room 231.
- Philelectic Society Set Crew will meet today after school until 5:30 PM. Students interested learning how to use power tools are invited to attend.
- The 8th grade football team will host Archbishop Shaw this afternoon at John Ryan Stadium starting at 5:00.
- Prefreshmen interested in trying out for the 8th Grade Basketball team should meet tomorrow during the first half of lunch in the Benson Arena. If you are unable to attend or have any questions, see Coach Eckholdt or Coach Rogers.
- Returning National Honor Society members will meet tomorrow during the first half of lunch in Room 221.
- Seniors that have not completed their 100 service hours are reminded that signed forms of Intention to Complete the Service Project are due to Mr. Delatte by the end of the day today.
- Seniors are reminded that their essays are due today to Mr. Delatte in Room 127. A digital copy should also be turned in on Canvas.
- Any Juniors or Seniors who helped with the 8th grade retreat and have not received a t-shirt should see Mr. Bacon or Mr. Symmes in the Campus Ministry office to pick up their shirt.
- Juniors and Seniors interested in joining Peer Support can pick up commitment forms today during lunch in the Commons during Rush. Returning seniors will need to complete a returning form. All forms can be turned-in to Mrs. Delaney in the Guidance Office.
- Students, be aware that anytime you do not have money on your lunch account, you can still purchase hot lunch from the “hot line” and accrue a negative balance. All other lines require a positive balance on your lunch account.
- Friday is the deadline to register a flag football team for all freshmen and sophomores. Any teams members with an inappropriate name will receive a PH.
- There will be a mandatory captains meeting for all captains of a flag football team Friday during the first half of lunch in CL3. If the captain cannot make it, at least one member must attend for your team to participate.
