Faculty Meeting Order, Day 5
- The varsity football team will face John Curtis on Friday night at The Shrine with kickoff set for 7:00. Pre-sale tickets are $10.00 for adults and non-Jesuit students and $5.00 each for children (ages 6-11). Pre-sale tickets are available for purchase at the front desk daily until 3:30. All tickets purchased at the gate are $15.00 each. Blue Jay fans should enter the complex via Tom Benson Way and park in Lot E. Parking is $10.00 per vehicle. Enter the stadium at Gate #3. We are the visiting team for this game. Parking, concessions, and tickets purchased at the gate are cashless.
- Intramural basketball registration is open on IMleagues. 8th graders must register by homeroom. Any team with an inappropriate name’s members will receive a PH. Instructions on how to sign up are on the student life page on Canvas.
- Bidding for the NCAA tournament will take place and ends at the end of first half today. Games start tomorrow. If you win a bid, you must bring money by Friday. You will pay before you play so bring your money to your first game.
- Total Sodal Mass will take place today during the first half of lunch in the 2nd floor chapel, immediately followed by pizza in St. Ignatius Hall.
- The Movie Critics Club will meet today during the second half of lunch in Room 221.
- The Pokémon club will meet today during the second half of lunch in Room 319.
- Acoustic Guitar Club will meet today during the second half of lunch in Room 330.
- Ultimate Frisbee Club will play today during the second half of lunch at Will Clark Field.
- The next Paintball Club outing will take place on Saturday, Nov. 2. Permission forms are available outside the ROTC office. See Master Gunnery Sergeant Piseno with questions.
- A town founded on a river to control a region . . . that description not only fits New Orleans, but also our sister city of Matsue. Mr. Trosclair recently traveled to Japan’s “City of Water” on a cultural exchange trip with the Japan Society of New Orleans. He will be speaking about Matsue and his time there tomorrow during lunch in the first-floor conference room of the Madonna della Strada building. Students interested in Japan are encouraged to attend and are welcome to bring their lunch.
- Calling all sophomores, juniors, and seniors who want to be tour guides for Open House. We can really use your help welcoming new Blue Jay families on Nov. 6. Come to a tour guide training tomorrow during either the first or second half of lunch int he auditorium. If you are a big brother you are automatically a tour guide and look forward to seeing you there.
- An admissions representative from St. Edward’s University will be available today during lunch in the College Counseling suite.
