Regular Order, Day 6

  • The varsity football team will host Rummel tomorrow night at The Shrine with kickoff set for 7:00.  Pre-sale tickets are $10.00 each for adults and non-Jesuit students and $5.00 each for children (ages 6-11).  Tickets are available for purchase daily until 3:30 p.m. at the front desk.  Tickets purchased at the gate are $15.00 each.  Cash and credit cards will be accepted.  Both student and faculty ID’s will be accepted at the gate.  Note that stadium parking ($10.00 per vehicle) and concessions purchases are cashless.  Blue Jay fans should enter the complex at Clarius Dr. and park in Lot A. The theme for the game is a Blue Out.
  • The homecoming court will be presented during halftime, and the homecoming queen will be crowned.
  • The varsity cross country team will compete in the district meet at City Park this afternoon starting at 4:15. The Gizzard should head to City park at Harrison Ave right after school. Let’s bring the Khaki to City Park.
  • Student Council will sponsor a Trunk or Treat today during lunch in the Courtyard. Halloween costumes are encouraged and prizes will be given for the best costume during the second half of lunch.
  • NCAA 25 games will continue today during lunch in the Commons. Bring money to the game to be able to participate. Games are: Ball state vs Texas, LSU vs Utah, and Arkansas vs Tennessee.
  • Students interested in going on the March for Life to Washington DC this January should see Mrs. Deboisblanc or Mr. Delatte as soon as possible.
  • The Creative Writing Club will meet today during the first half of lunch in Room 116
  • The Youth and Government club will meet today during the second half of lunch in room 210.
  • All who wish to attend the upcoming Youth Legislature Conference must be present.
  • The Movie Critics Club will meet tomorrow after school in Room 221 to watch Alfred Hitchcock’s Psycho
  • All members of Peer Support must meet Monday during the first half of lunch in St. Ignatius Hall to prepare for second quarter presentations. Please see Mrs. Delaney or your faculty leader if you cannot attend.
  • Admissions representatives from Hampden-Sydney College and Hawaii Pacific University will be available today during lunch in the College Counseling suite.
  • Need help hitting your academic stride? National Honor Society offers tutoring in all subjects every day during the first half of lunch in Room 220. 
  • Calliope is open for submissions of fiction, poetry, and visual art. Submissions will be considered for inclusion in the Blue Jay News online and for the annual print journal published in the spring semester. Students should email their work to calliope@jesuitnola.org.
