Regular Order, Day 2
- Come out and support the Jesuit cross country team today after school in the commons as they hope to defend their title. The state race will be begin at 3:45 and will be live-streamed. Be there!
- The Rugby team will hold an informational meeting today during lunch in the Madonna Della Strata conference room. They will provide Chick-Fil-a for attendees.
- All members of Mu Alpha Theta will meet today during the second half of lunch in St. Ignatius Hall.
- All pre-freshman and freshmen interested in participating in Math Competitions will practice today and Wednesday during the first half of lunch in Room 330.
- The Chess Club and team will meet today after school in Room 311.
Results:
- The chess team tied for first place in this month’s scholastic tournament. Individually, Austin Janusa placed first and Arav Kamboj placed fifth. Congratulations.
- The wrestling team went in the road Saturday to St Paul’s. The 8th Grade team finished with a tie. Lucas Reinhardt, Jude Truxillo, Aidan Garrison, Gage Falterman, Christian Burvant, and Garrett Cargol all had wins for the 8th grade team. The JV team followed up with a dominate 41-23 win. Grant Carroll got the wins started in the varsity dual with a big pin that was followed up by Max Belsome defeating the returning State Champion. Bodi Harris, Jack Heslin, Jose Rincon, Christopher Stricker, Kevin Cázale, Quinn Anderson, and Conner Vargas also had wins that help the Jays take a 44-23 win over the Wolves. Congratulations.
- Congratulations to the Varsity football team as they advance in the state playoffs by dismantling the Lafayette Lions, 45-7. Offensively, Junior Running Back Gavin Palmisano pounded in 4 rushing touchdowns while leading the Blue Jay rushing attack. Junior Wide Receiver Roman Larre burned the Lafayette secondary hauling in a 69 yard touchdown reception thrown by QB Taylor Norton who dropped it in perfectly. Defensively, Senior James Roniger had an early interception that set the tone, followed up by Senior Safety Wyatt Mire who intercepted a pass, broke multiple tackles and scored on a pick six to close out the game.
