Mass Day Order, Day 7
- All members of the junior class in Program II must attend a meeting today in order to receive materials and information necessary for the scheduling of senior courses for next year. The meeting will be held during the first half of the lunch period in St. Ignatius Hall. If you are unsure of the curriculum program that you are following, please ask your homeroom teacher. Please do not fail to attend this meeting – it is important.
- All 8th and 9th grade students interested in participating in the Catholic High Math Tournament on Saturday, Jan. 25 will meet today and tomorrow during the first half of lunch in Room 330.
- Acoustic Guitar Club will meet today during the second half of lunch in Room 330.
- All Juniors who have not attended a college counseling presentation please report to your college counselor in either Room 120, 121, or 122 today during the first or second half of lunch. Show up immediately at the first or second bell. See posted signs or refer to your Canvas Messages. Do not confuse this with the senior scheduling meeting.
- There will be a bus available for track practice today after school. There will be a meeting for all students interested in track and field today during the first half of lunch in Room 112.
- Ultimate Frisbee team will play today second half of at Will Clark Field
- The varsity wrestling team will compete in a tri-dual tonight vs. Rummel and Kenner Discovery at Kenner Discovery starting at 6:00.
- The jv soccer team plays at Newman this evening starting at 5:00.
- The 8th grade basketball team plays at Boyet tonight starting at 4:00.
- Students going on the March for Life must meet tomorrow during the second half of lunch in Room 231.
- Printing fees for December have been sent to students’ Outlook account. Also, students will find a printing fee notification in red on students’ portal page. Please pay your bill in Room 215 either before school, during 10-minute break, or at the lunch hour by Friday, Jan. 10.
- Room Changes: Sophomore students in Mr. Caluda’s 1st and 2nd period (slot 7 and 1) Fine Arts 1 classes should report directly to Computer Lab 1 for attendance and class. Sophomores in Mr. Caluda’s 5th period (slot 4) Advanced Band and Fine Arts 1 class should report directly to Room 121 for class and students in Maestro’s 6th period (slot5) Fine Arts 1 class should report directly to Computer Lab 1 for class. Students will be meeting with Guidance to complete a version of the Myers Briggs Personality Inventory.
Results:
- The Toys of Tots Campaign was another great success. This year, as a school, we collected 1,419 toys that were distributed to families across the New Orleans area. The homerooms by grade with most toys submitted were:
– 8th Grade: 807 with 68 toys
– 9th Grade: 905 with 120 toys plus 2 bikes
– 10th Grade: 1002 with 45 toys
– 11th Grade: 1103 with 53 toys
– 12th Grade: 1207 with 170 toys
These homerooms will be rewarded with a donut breakfast tomorrow during homeroom in the Commons.
