Assembly Order #3, Day 2

• The Fishing club will meet today during the first half of lunch in Room 313. 
• Any 8^th grader interested in trying out for the 8th grade baseball team should meet today during the first half of lunch in the baseball locker room.
• All intramural basketball captains who did not attend the first meeting must meet today the first half of lunch in Computer Lab 3.
• Jesuit Youth and Government will meet today during the second half of lunch in Room 210 for all students interested in attending the upcoming Model UN conference.
• The Ultimate frisbee team will practice today during the second half of lunch on Will Clark Field.
• The Classic Rock Club will meet today during the second half of lunch in Room 203.
• The Anime Club will meet today during lunch in Room 116 to watch Vinland Saga.
• The varsity basketball team will host Brother Martin tonight in the Benson Arena with tip off set for 7:00.  The jv game begins at 5:45, while the 9^th grade game starts at 4:30.
• The varsity wrestling team will compete in the Louisiana Classic today and on Saturday in Gonzales.
• The varsity soccer team will host Bonnabel on Saturday at John Ryan Stadium starting at 1:00.  Senior Day ceremonies will take place prior to the game.  The jv game follows the varsity game.  The 9^th grade soccer team will compete in the St. Paul’s Tournament on Saturday.
• Printing fees are due today by the end of the lunch hour today.
• Today’s Room Changes for Mrs. Jennings Art Classes: Period 2: Art 1, report to Computer Lab 2 for attendance and class.  Period 3: Art 1, report to Room 121 and Period 4, Art 1, report to Computer Lab 1 for attendance and class. Students will be meeting with Guidance to complete a version of the Myers Briggs Personality Inventory.
• Career Day, a morning Jesuit sets aside for students to learn more about professional life, is scheduled for next Wednesday morning, from 8:00 – 9:05 a.m. We will follow Assembly Order #1.  During the assembly period, alumni representing several different careers will be stationed in classrooms on the second and third floors. Juniors and seniors will be required to attend two 30-minute career sessions of their choosing. A list of careers and room locations can be found on Canvas. 8th, 9th, and 10th graders will report to the auditorium after homeroom to hear a career presentation by Edgar “Dook” Chase, IV ‘00. If you have any questions regarding Career Day, please see Mrs. Strain in the Guidance office.

Results:

• This past weekend the chess team placed 1^st in the first New Orleans scholastic tournament of the semester. Leading the team in this effort were Austin Janusa and Arav Kamboj.
• On Tuesday, the varsity basketball team defeated East Jefferson 54-41 to improve to 16 and 2 in the state rankings. Zachary LaGraize led the way with 21 points, Tanner Hughes had 12 and Ethan Lapeze had 11, including a monster dunk that changed the momentum of the game. Brewer led the team in assists with 6, while Brennan Pitts led the defensive effort that held the opponent to 17 second half points.
