Senior Bryan Santos has been named a POSSE Scholarship recipient. Santos is an alumnus of Riverdale Middle School and is the son of Aline and Marcos Santos. He has been accepted to Case Western Reserve University, where he plans to attend in the fall. Santos aims to major in Biology/Pre-Med, aspiring to become an orthopedic surgeon.

Posse Scholars are chosen from a pool of nominees from around the state. Through several rounds of interviews, the original pool was narrowed down to a set of finalists before scholarships were awarded to the most exceptional candidates.

At Jesuit, Santos has been an active student leader and member of several co-curricular activities. He has been involved in the band for three years and has participated in MCJROTC for five years, currently holding the rank of Company Commander. Santos has also been a member of the swim team for five years.

In addition to his involvement in school activities, Santos has dedicated time to volunteering at various institutions in the area. He has volunteered at the WWII Museum for a year, at University Medical Center for three years, and at the Audubon Zoo for a year. Santos attributes his achievements and commitments to the unwavering support of his parents.

“Bryan Santos is a personable, charming, and outgoing student whose dedication extends far beyond the classroom. He embodies the discipline and hard work of a committed athlete, showcasing empathy, patience, and the ability to inspire others—qualities he applies with maturity and care.” — Priscilla Felix, College Counselor

Above all, Jesuit relentlessly pursues God’s greater glory. While students’ academic accolades reflect the school’s mission, they are not the mission itself. They instead signify that Blue Jays are becoming the men that they were made to be: men of faith and men for others.

Alongside celebrating students who attain these academic accomplishments, Jesuit also highlights graduating seniors who are named winners of highly selective merit-based national scholarship competitions. Click here to read about more of these students.
