Blue Jay Spirit Along the Route

The sounds of Mardi Gras are filling Will Clark Field daily as the Blue Jay Marching Band rehearse for its annual parade season. Alongside the band, the Jayettes, Cheer, and MCJROTC are eagerly preparing to represent the Blue and White among the purple, green, and gold of Carnival.
The MCJROTC will make its first appearance with the Knights of Sparta on Saturday, February 22. The following day, Sunday, February 23, the Blue Jay Marching Band, Jayettes, and Cheer will join the Krewe of Carrollton, bringing music, dance, and enthusiasm to the streets.
The MCJROTC will once again take to the parade route with the Krewe of Hermes on Friday, February 28. On Sunday, March 2, the Band, Jayettes, and Cheer will march with the Krewe of Bacchus, one of the season’s most celebrated parades, adding their energy and flair to the festivities.
The Blue Jay Band and Jayettes’ then journey to Orlando, where they will march down mainstreet at Walt Disney World on Mardi Gras day, Tuesday, March 4.
