Regular Order, Day 1
- Student Council Run-off election polls close at end of lunch today. Don’t forget to vote.
- The Faculty Auction benefitting the Mission Drive is available today. Visit the table in the Commons during lunch through April 2 to place your bid. Keep in mind that bidding is competitive, so check back to make sure you’re the lead for any items you hope to win.
- The Bazaar will be held this Saturday, March 29, from Noon – 8 p.m. with food, music, games, and student performances. If you pre-ordered a Bazaar t-shirt, it can be picked up today through Friday at the Front Desk near the Blue Jay Shop. A limited number of Bazaar shirts are also for sale for $12.
- Come out to the courtyard today during the second half of lunch for a lunchtime Bazaar preview. Enjoy activities including axe throwing and a milk bottle toss, where you can win Blue Jay bucks to spend at the Bazaar on Saturday.
- The chess team is excited to host its annual chess tournament starting next week. The entry fee is just $5, with proceeds supporting the Mission Drive. To register, use the link provided and submit your monetary donation to Mr. Campos during the first half of lunch in the commons or after school in Room 309/311. Registration is open until Friday and tournament play will begin next Monday. The champion will take home a one-of-a-kind JHS Chess Piece trophy.
- The Creative Writing Club will meet today during the first half of lunch in Room 116.
- The Society of St. Joseph will have a guided discussion by Dr. Delio today during the first half of lunch in Room 120.
- Fill out Sweet 16 brackets and more at today’s Sports Analysis Club meeting during the second half of lunch in Room 231.
- Join Jesuit’s SABR club will meet today during the first half of lunch in room 331. We will discuss predictions for the 2025 MLB season.
- The Pro-Life Club will meet today during the second half of lunch in Room 316. Students who registered for the Women’s New Life Clinic’s Born to Run race can pick up their T-shirts and race numbers at the meeting.
- The Jesuit Cheer Team is looking for strong and athletic 8th-11th grade Jesuit students for their competition team. The Cheer team is hosting an open practice today after school in the Benson Arena for all those interested. Free Cane’s chicken will be available to all who participate. Come out and meet the girls on the cheer team and see if this sport is for you.
- The golf team faces Rummel this afternoon at City Park starting at 4:00.
- The varsity baseball team will face Brother Martin tonight at Kirsch-Rooney with first pitch set for 6:30.
- The 9th grade baseball team will host Brother Martin this afternoon at John Ryan Stadium starting at 4:00.
- Each homeroom that reaches $200 will get to wear fresh kicks this Friday. Teachers can submit collected money to the box in the teacher’s lounge. Money should be turned in by Thursday in order to receive the Fresh Kicks holiday. Fresh kicks should be as follows: shoes must cover the toes and have backs; slides, flip-flops, and sandals are not allowed. Students may wear Crocs, but they must be in ‘sport mode.’ White socks may be worn in place of black socks, but socks must be worn. Each qualifying homeroom will be given a bracelet. Any student who wants to wear fresh kicks from that homeroom much have that bracelet on when they are wearing fresh kicks. The bracelet will indicate they are allowed to wear the shoes and will not be given a PH for being out of dress code. Any student not wearing the proper bracelet and wearing fresh kicks will receive a PH.
- For those who are interested fasting tomorrow by means of only bread and water, the Evangelization team will have bread available for a minimal purchase in the Campus Ministry Room during lunch. Proceeds go to the Mission Drive.
- 8th and 8th Grade members of Xavier House may wear their house cup championship t-shirts tomorrow during the school day in place of their uniform shirt to celebrate their house cup victory.
