Regular Order, Day 5

  • Rising Freshman/Sophomore House Prefect and Rising Junior/Senior Class President nomination forms are both available on the Student Life Canvas page. Printed copies may also be found outside of the Student Activities Office. Completed forms are due on Wednesday. 
  • Jesuit students and girls from Catholic schools are invited to attend the Campus Ministry Night this Wednesday from 6:30-8:00 pm. There will be games, a talk by Mrs. D, Adoration, and Confession. Food and drinks will be provided.
  • The latest issue of The Blue Jay newspaper is now available. Pick up your copy in the Commons, cafeteria, or the resource center.
  • Jesuit is sponsoring a blood drive on Thursday, April 10, in the Commons. Students must be at least 16 years old and weigh at least 110 pounds. You can sign up in homeroom or with Mrs. Tassin in Room 317. Please sign up by this Friday.
  • The FIFA tournament to benefit the Mission Drive will begin this Thursday. You can participate by bidding on a team in the Commons today during lunch. The winner will receive a $100 gift card of their choice.
  • T-Shirts for Carrollton clash are now available for purchase. Find the link on the canvas homepage and the Jesuit student life Instagram. Make sure to get the Blue Shirt.
  • The General Student Council will meet today during the first half of lunch in St. Ignatius Hall. 
  • The Blue Jay newspaper staff will meet today during the second half of lunch in the Student Communications office.
  • Acoustic Guitar Club will meet today and tomorrow during the second half of lunch in Room 330.
  • The bowling team will face St. Amant in the Regional Round of the state playoffs today at Bowlero Lanes in Kenner starting at 1:00.  Should the team emerge victorious they will face the winner of Captain Shreve and Denham Springs later that afternoon at Bowlero starting at 3:15.
  • The tennis team faces Brother Martin this afternoon at City Park starting at 4:00.
  • The golf team faces St. Augustine this afternoon at English Turn starting at 4:00.
  • The varsity baseball team hosts John Curtis at John Ryan Stadium tonight with first pitch set for 6:30.
  • The 9th grade baseball team will play John Curtis this afternoon at Pontiff starting at 4:00.
  • Students interested in serving breakfast this week at Grace at the Greenlight should see Mr. Delatte in Room 127 as soon as possible.
  • Friday will be another Fresh Kicks Friday. Amongst homerooms that were rewarded Fresh Kicks last week, the threshold for a second Fresh Kicks Friday will be $350.  For those homerooms yet to reach $200, you will be granted a Fresh Kicks holiday on Friday should you reach $200 by Thursday. For any questions regarding this, please see Mr. Delatte.
  • Intramural All Star week continues today during lunch with the junior vs senior All Star game in Benson Arena and the freshman championship game in the 3rd floor gym.
