Assembly Order #2, Day 1
- Those participating in the mission drive chess tournament should report today at the beginning of the second half of lunch to Room 311.
- The FIFA tournament continues today with the conclusion of Round 1. During the first half of lunch, Barcelona will face Crystal Palace and Chelsea will play Aston Villa. In the second half of lunch, it’s Man U vs. Roma and Arsenal vs. AC Milan. Team owners are reminded to pay at the time of their game, and they must be present five minutes after the bell or will forfeit. Winners can claim the team they beat.
- The varsity baseball team plays at Higgins this afternoon starting at 4:00.
- The jv baseball team will host Warren Easton this afternoon at John Ryan Stadium starting at 3:45.
- The 8th grade baseball team will host Northshore this evening at John Ryan Stadium starting at 6:00.
- The jv lacrosse team plays at Rummel this afternoon starting at 4:45.
- Fr. Juan Ruiz will be in the Commons tomorrow during lunch to answer all of your questions about Jesuit life and the priesthood. Rewards will be given out to students who ask Fr. Ruiz a question.
- Students who signed up to donate blood on Thursday must turn in permission slips by Wednesday. Bring them to Mrs. Tassin in Room 317. Students can still sign up before Thursday.
- Second-notice printing fees for March have been sent to students’ Outlook accounts and portal. Please pay your fees in Room 215 before school, during 10-minute break, or at the lunch hour before Wednesday, April 9 to avoid receiving a PH and losing computer services.
Results:
- White Sheisty Elite defeated the Hoop-O-holics in the 9th grade Intramural basketball championship game. Logan Nelson was named MVP, as he dropped 34 points. The defense was led by Benjamin Neff, Harry Irwin, and Holden Roubion. Mani Vandenweghe and Harrison Trauth contributed on both sides of the ball. Benjamin Pullen got in the game late and drained a three within seconds. Coaches JP Lemann and Julian Alvarado coached the team to victory. Lemann not only coached, but also drained a three as soon as he stepped on the court. Manager Reily Roubion helped the boys get locked in.
- The 8th grade intramural championship was won by the 804 Sassy Shooters in an 18-15 victory over the 805 Academic Weapons. The team was led by Cooper Ryan, Grant Hayes, Tyson Magee, Mears Ralston and Wyatt Stewart.
- The Senior Intramural championship was won by the S Shooters in a 10-7 victory over Settis Clan. The offense was led by captain Preston Cantrelle, Joseph Anderson, Sam Macaluso, and Finn Blake. Defensively, the team was led by Drew Lalla, Grant Goebel, Andrew Sampedro, and Austin Vidrine. Brewer Nitcher coached the team to victory. This win catapulted the team to the number 1 overall seed in the March Madness tournament.
