Seven Period Day, Day 1A

• All homeroom door decorations should be taken down by the end of the day today.
• The Fencing Club will meet today after school in Room 239. 
• All returning varsity football players must meet tomorrow morning at 7am in the second floor classroom of the Roussel Building.  All returning players are expected to attend.
• Model UN will meet tomorrow during the second half of lunch in Room 214.
• The Academic Games team will compete in the first round of the Presidents tournament tomorrow at 4:00 in the cafeteria. Please see Mr. Holmer if you cannot attend.
• Any 8^th, 9^th, 10^th, and 11^th grade students interested in trying out for the 2019 varsity football team must attend an informational meeting on Wednesday, January 9, during the second half of lunch in room 329.  See Coach Songy if you have any questions.
• Top’s tip of the day: A new quarter gives us a new start.  Do not repeat the same mistakes as last quarter.

Results:

• On Saturday the 8th grade basketball team defeated Rummel 61-15. Kyle Jackson, Michael Welsh, Kole White, and Will Sheridan each scored 9 points. Anthony Scarpino added six. 
• Saturday, the basketball team defeated Rummel 55-33 to improve its overall record to 21 & 2 and its district record to 2-0.  Once again Elijah Morgan led the offensive effort while Nick Artigues led the team defensive effort picking up three charges.
