Regular Order, Day 1
- Teachers, please have a student empty the classroom recycling bins into the large bins in the hallway today.
- The Winter Clothes Drive continues through next Friday, Jan. 25. Remember to bring in any winter clothes or clean socks and underwear and place them in the bins around school.
- Tomorrow will be a Blue and White Day. Wear a blue, white, or blue and white collared shirt or a Jesuit imprinted t-shirt to show your Blue Jay Spirit.
- JNN will meet today during the first half of lunch in Ignatius Hall.
- The St. Peter Claver Club will meet today during the second half of lunch in Room 210. New members welcome.
- Green Club will meet today after school in Room 311.
- The Movie Critics Club will meet today after school in Room 221 to watch A Quiet Place.
- The Spanish Club will meet today after school in Room 320.
- The bowling team will face Holy Rosary this afternoon at All Star Lanes starting at 3:20.
- Juniors attending the January Kairos retreat will meet tomorrow during the first half of lunch in Room 224.
- Upperclassmen volunteers of the Academic Support Program will meet tomorrow during the first half of lunch in Room 304.
- Any freshmen interested in playing baseball at Jesuit should meet tomorrow during the first half of lunch in Room 329.
- Biotechnology Club will meet next Thursday during the first half of lunch in Room 317. Please check your canvas email for more information.
- This is a reminder that varsity football try-outs will be held on Wednesday, Jan. 23. Report to the football office in the Roussel Building immediately after school.
- The Philelectic Society will be holding auditions for “Into the Woods” on January 21 & 22, 2019, from 5:30 – 8:30PM in the Jesuit Auditorium. Underclassmen are encouraged to audition for the ensemble. You must be prepared to sing. You must bring sheet music if you’re not singing a song from the show. It is mandatory that you complete an audition form, available in the Phils office, Room 201, or go to jesuitnola.org/phils.
- The 11th Annual Senior-Directed One Act Play & Improv Comedy Festival begins next Thursday, Jan. 24, at 6:30 pm. Admission is $5 or 5 canned goods, and all proceeds go directly to Second Harvest Food Bank. Stay tuned for more information regarding this year’s four productions and an improv comedy show by the J-Troupe.
- All students must register with the Selective Service System by their 18th Birthday. Registration is quick and easy. The website is WWW.SSS.GOV. If you have questions, see Mr. Schiro in the Guidance Office.
- Students 15 years or older who are interested in applying for a job with the New Orleans Baby Cakes as game-day staff should see Mrs. Favalora or Mrs. Barrera in guidance. The application deadline is February 15th.
- An admission representative from University of South Alabama will be available during lunch today in Room 122.
