Baseball Catches 10th Victory During Mardi Gras Break

Bringing a 6-0 record into their host tournament, the Jesuit Invitational, the Blue Jay baseball team continued its 2019 campaign during the Mardi Gras break. From the Jesuit Invitational to the Hammond Tournament, the Jays played seven games in an 8-day stretch, despite the bad weather throughout the break. On Friday, March 8, Jesuit captured its 10th victory by defeating Springfield, 5-2, in the final game of the Hammond Tournament.

Now 10-3, the Jays will see more competitive action at this weekend’s Gerald Oubre Tournament, which is the last tournament before district play.

The Blue Jays play in the Gerald Oubre Memorial Tournament on Thursday, March 14 to Saturday, March 16. Their first game is at Destrehan, and their last two games are at John Ryan Stadium. Their schedule is as follows:
