Blue Jay Mothers Reflect on Ignatian Spirituality
With clear skies and open hearts, the Jesuit’s Mother’s Rosary group hosted current blue jay moms for the Mothers’ Day of Reflection in St. Ignatius Hall on Wednesday, April 10. After praying the rosary and enjoying a light breakfast they sat down to immerse themselves in a morning of mindfulness and reflection.

Rev. Frank Reale, S.J. led the reflection and shared his insight on the First Principle and Foundation of St. Ignatius’ Spiritual Exercises. He then went more in-depth on how to apply St. Ignatius’ teachings to the role in which feelings—including fears and resentments—play into our ability to make free and loving decisions which promote healthy and holy relationships with God and others.
The ladies then enjoyed a mass in the Chapel of the Holy Name of Jesus in which they offered up their intentions. The event concluded with lunch in St. Ignatius Hall.
The Mother’s Rosary group participates in weekly rosary, readings, and reflections in the Holy Name Chapel. For more information, visit the Mother’s Rosary group page.
