Regular Order, Day 5
- Balfour will be on campus to take senior graduation announcement orders today during lunch in the Commons. Balfour will return to campus on Friday during lunch in the Commons to take orders for senior rings.
- The Anime Club will meet today at the first half of lunch in @oom 117 to continue screening “Erased.” The club will also meet on Thursday after school in Room 122.
- The Creative Writing Club will meet today during the first half of lunch in Room 210.
- Juniors attending the November 22-24 Kairos retreat should meet today during the first half of lunch in Room 224. See Mr. Flores if you cannot attend.
- Students interested in trying out for the Varsity baseball team should meet today during the first half of lunch in Room 332.
- The Fishing club will meet today during the second half of lunch in Room 228.
- All Sodality levels will meet today during the second half of lunch. Juniors and seniors will meet in their usual rooms. Sophomores will meet in the art room. Freshmen will meet in the 2nd floor chapel.
- Did you know that when Rene Descartes visited our Chess Club and was asked if he would like to play a game, he replied, “I think not,” and then he disappeared, You can help us find Rene at today’s Chess Club meeting at 3:00 p.m. in Room 332.
- The varsity wrestling team will open its dual meet season tonight at St. Paul’s starting at 6:30.
- Students participating in the Tulane Model UN Conference will meet tomorrow during the second half of lunch in Room 214.
- The varsity football team will host Archbishop Shaw in the first round of the state playoffs on Thursday night at Tad Gormley Stadium with kickoff set for 6:00 p.m. Pre-sale tickets are $7.00 each for adults, students, and children (ages 6-11). Pre-sale tickets will be available for purchase at the switchboard from 7:45-3:45 Tuesday through Thursday. All tickets purchased at the gate are $9.00 each. Note that both student ID’s and season passes are not accepted at the gate for LHSAA playoff contests.
- The Jesuit Philelectic Society presents its fall production of You Can’t Take It With You, which will run tomorrow night at 6:30, Friday night at 7:30, and Saturday night at 7:30 in the Auditorium.
- Tryouts for the Varsity Bowling Team will take place on Monday, Nov. 18 and Wednesday, Nov. 20 from 3:45-5pm at AMF All-Star Lanes in Kenner. All are welcome to tryout. Please see Mr. McCabe if you have any questions or concerns.
- Juniors: If you are interested in competing for the Carson Scholarship worth $1,000, submit the application available in your College Counseling class in Canvas by 3:30 PM on Monday, November 18 to Guidance. Competitive applicants should have at least a 4.3 GPA and be extensively engaged in service.
- Top’s tip of the day: Possession of another student’s property without permission of that student may be considered theft.
