Matthew Lulich Makes Commitment with Centenary Lacrosse
In addition to the eight student-athletes who made commitments to play collegiate sports last week, a Lacrosse player is committing to continue playing at the next level. Matthew Lulich has made a commitment to Centenary College, Louisiana’s oldest college and the oldest chartered liberal arts college in the U.S. west of the Mississippi River.
Varsity lacrosse coach Saban Sellers praised Lulich in saying, “Matthew was not only a terrific lacrosse player but also a terrific leader in the time I had the pleasure to coach him at Jesuit. He was a senior captain this year and always did a great job of leading by example and creating the positive team culture that that we needed to be successful in our short 2020 season. He always showed up to practice ready to work and did whatever the team needed to win. I am extremely excited for Matthew to continue his lacrosse career at Centenary College, where I know he will be very successful both on the field and in the classroom.”
Matthew will be a college varsity athlete at Centenary with another Lulich – his brother, Mitchell, who is a varsity swimmer at Centenary and a 2018 graduate of Jesuit. Mitchell’s younger brother now joins him at Centenary, which has has the only NCAA varsity lacrosse team in Louisiana.
