In Soccer, Jays Sack Raiders with a Shutout, 5-0

Senior Evan DeHoog sinks this goal and with it, the Raiders’ hopes of staying in the game on Friday evening at John Ryan Stadium. DeHoog’s goal gave the Blue Jays a 3-0 lead as time expired in the first half.

One Day After Defeating Rummel, Blue Jays Travel to Ocean Springs and Play the Greyhounds to Another Tie, 1-1

Five Blue Jays scored goals against Archbishop Rummel while shutting down any semblance of a Raider offense in a district match Friday evening at John Ryan Stadium. The Jays scored three goals in the first half and added a pair in the second to capture their second district win this week. The Jays defeated Archbishop Shaw on Wednesday, 3-0.

Scoring for the Blue Jays against Rummel were seniors Will McQueen, Jacob Stansberry, Evan DeHoog, Robbie Henry, and Patrick Mansour.

The Jays traveled to Ocean Springs on Saturday, Dec. 14 for a rematch against the Greyhounds that ended in a 1-1 tie. In the season opener at John Ryan Stadium last month, the two teams played to a scoreless tie.

At the end of exam week, the Blue Jays travel to Tupelo to play in the Mississippi Showcase of Soccer Tournament.
