Jesuit Lacrosse (4–0) travelled to Newman to earn a victory on Friday, March 26. Jesuit players put up a strong showing on both sides of the field, and the offensive and defensive efforts led to a 15–9 final score for the Blue Jays.

Senior Evan Centola led the offense with five goals and two assists with fellow senior Andrew Brown also contributing four points and five assists. The team’s signature midfield strength was on display on Michael Lupin field, and Senior middie Jack Unger—who also added a couple of goals—made his major contribution with a standout midfield performance that comprised 10 ground balls picked up and 13 faceoff wins. Middie Dickson Chamberlain, also a senior, picked up 9 balls from the ground while adding two goals himself.

Though Blue Jay attackers and middies have kept opponents under upfield pressure for much of the season, the team’s defensive strength has also been on display. Sophomore goalie Ethan Lago racked up 14 saves over the course of the game.

Often looking to the skies as a Jesuit football receiver, senior Max Milano (who holds the school record for longest football reception) found five ground balls and caused 2 turnovers, leading the defensive effort along with fellow seniors, Miller Farnsworth, Gavin Fitzpatrick (who contributed a goal of his own), David Welsh, Bill Daley, Carston Betbeze, and Jaques Karcher.

The Jays resume their season after Easter break on April 10 at 1 p.m. in Lafayette against the St. Thomas More Cougars.
