In a nail-biting semifinal matchup against the John Curtis Patriots (20–7), the Jesuit baseball team (30–6) came home from Sulfur, LA with a victory that will send them to the LHSAA Division I finals.

The hard-won 4–3 victory came after a walk-off single by senior Dartmouth-commit Zack Casebonne, whose game-ending RBI broke a multiple-inning stalemate. Senior Hayden Morris scored the final run. All-around solid performances from the Jesuit lineup contributed to the playoff victory; junior Holden Hess pitched most of the game with senior Sean Cashman closing out the day for the Jays by putting away all six Patriot batters that he faced.
