Jesuit Falls to Rummel in Basketball, 43-34
By: Senior Patrick Steen
The Jesuit basketball team suffered a district loss last night to the Rummel Raiders by a score of 43-34. The Raiders’ defense was stifling, as the Jays shot 32% from the field. However, Jesuit kept it close throughout, but was never able to put together a run of its own to catch the Raiders.
Senior Riley Conroy led the Jays in scoring with 10 points, including two threes. Junior Foster Moreau scored eight, while junior Trey LaForge put in seven.
Jesuit (14-10, 2-4) will look to knock off rival Brother Martin (18-8, 3-3) on Friday, Feb. 7 in the Birdcage. Tipoff is set for 7 p.m. Follow game action live at Twitter.com/bluejay_hoops.
