Junior wrestler Ben D’Antoni feels the pain in his match against a Crusader, but it was only temporary as this Blue Jay went on to win in a 10-3 decision.

Jesuit meets Holy Cross in a dual meet on Saturday, Feb. 8 at home.

Jesuit visited Brother Martin’s Bobby Conlin Gym on Wednesday night, Feb. 5, for a dual wrestling meet. The Crusaders started fast, winning five of the first six matches, while Jesuit forfeited two bouts and lost an additional three matches. The Blue Jays did have some bright spots, with four wrestlers winning their individual matches, two of them via pins. It was not enough, though as the Jays fell to the Crusaders, 43-18.

The four Jesuit wrestlers who won their matches were:
Junior Ben D’Antoni (120-lb weight class) won a 10-3 decision.
Senior Gaston Eymard (160) narrowly defeated his opponent, 6-5.
Senior Jake Eccles (170) pinned his opponent in 4:36.
Junior Dom Carmello (285) pinned his opponent in :27.

Jesuit returns to the mat on Saturday when they face Holy Cross at home. The dual meet starts at 4 p.m.
