Junior William Good stepped on the mound in the bottom of the first inning with a 1-0 lead against rival Holy Cross on March 29, and looked to lead his Jays to another victory. Little did the rest of the Jays (13-7, 2-2) know, a one run lead would be all that Good needed. He pitched masterfully by constantly changing speeds and accumulated 13 strikeouts in his complete game, two-hit shutout of the Tigers that ended 6-0 in favor of Jesuit.

Coming off a 10-3 win against the Tigers on March 26, Jesuit picked up where it left off. Senior leadoff hitter Keith Pittman started the afternoon with a line drive into the right-centerfield gap for a stand-up triple. Pittman would later score to give Jesuit the early 1-0 lead. In the second frame, back to back singles by senior James Bendeck and junior James Oufnac set up a well-timed sacrifice bunt by Bronson Goebel to advance the runners.

Senior outfielder Will Wegmann stepped up with runners on second and third and delivered a two RBI single down the right field line to give Jesuit a three-run cushion. The Jays would tack on three more in the top of the third inning with the help of a monster hit by Good and quality singles from seniors Luke Brandau and Holden Hess.

After dropping its first two district games to Brother Martin, Jesuit bounced back with two quality distict victories. The Jays will look to gain another against Rummel on Thursday, March 31, 2022, at Mike Miley with first pitch set for 7 p.m.
