Lacrosse Finishes Season as Division I State Runner Up
Back in Joseph Yenni Stadium after a spectacular come-from-behind performance in the Allstate Sugar Bowl LHSLL semifinals, the Jesuit lacrosse team finished the season as the LHSLL Division I state runner up. Despite hard-fought performance, the team lost a 8-2 championship game to Catholic High School, who put up a strong defensive showing from start to finish.
While the team this year had strong senior leadership, sophomore and junior players also stepped up in head coach Zach Pall’s second season at Jesuit. Pall will be looking to build on the year’s successes for next year—especially given the stellar performance of Jesuit’s “B” lacrosse team. The “B” team, which acts as a JV program for the varsity lacrosse squad, won its championship game against the Holy Cross Tigers earlier in the day.
Congratulations go out to Jays on both levels on a great season.
