Regular Order, Day 3

• Campus ministry and the Jesuit Esports team are hosting a FIFA tournament to raise money for the mission drive. Today during lunch, students can bid on the teams that they would like to use in the tournament. The games will be played during lunch and after school, and the finals will be played in the auditorium. Space is limited, so make sure to get your bids in early. If you have any questions, reach out to Mr. Firmin or Fr. Polce.
• Join us at the Jesuit Bazaar, this Saturday, March 25, from 11 a.m. – 7 p.m. We’ll have great food, music, games and the 2nd annual Laissez Les Bon Temps Cook-Off. The Cook-Off is 12 p.m. – 3 p.m. and features 8 amazing teams preparing some of the best food in town. If you would like to work at the Bazaar on Saturday and earn service hours, please sign up at the Front Desk (near the Blue Jay Shop).
• There will be a spike ball tournament starting next Wednesday to raise money for the mission drive. Cost per team is $20. The top 2-3 teams will be awarded prizes. Check announcements next week for more details
• The Classic Rock Club will meet today during the second half of lunch in Room 203.
• Seniors: Balfour will be on campus today during lunch in the student activities office to distribute graduation announcements.
• The varsity track and field team will compete in the Ronnie Doyle Invitational at Joe Yenni this evening.
• The varsity baseball team will host Edna Karr on Saturday morning at John Ryan Stadium with first pitch set for 11:00.
• The 9^th grade baseball team will host Brother Martin this evening at John Ryan Stadium starting at 5:30.
• The lacrosse team will play at St. Paul’s this evening starting at 7:30.  The jv game begins at 5:00.
• The varsity rugby team will face the Woodlands (TX) this evening at Scout Island in City Park starting at 5:00.  On Saturday morning the team will face Germantown (TN) at Marconi starting at 10:30.
• Today is Fresh Kick Fridays for those HR’s that qualified.  If you are wearing Fresh Kicks, you must also be wearing a gold wristband to indicate that you are part of a homeroom that qualified. If you do not have a gold wristband and are wearing fresh kicks you are out of dress code and can be given a PH. See your homeroom teaching for a wristband. 
• Todays intramural games have been moved to Monday
• Senior intramural cabbageball forms are available in the student activities office. The league will be limited to 12 teams and games will start in April. Forms and fees are due next Friday to Mr. Orillion.
• An admissions representative from Villanova University is visiting Jesuit today during lunch in the College Counseling Suite (across from the small chapel). If you plan on applying to Villanova in the fall, you should attend.

Results:

• Last Saturday, Jesuit’s Quiz Bowl team competed in the Louisiana Quiz Bowl Association State Championship Tournament. The all-senior team of captain Ken Nguyen, Max Daly, Wade Rogers, and Derek Tsang went undefeated in their preliminary matches before falling to a strong team from Caddo Magnet to finish as the state runner-up. Wade Rogers was the top individual scorer on the day.
• Last week, Jesuit’s NBA 2K player, sophomore Neil Odeh, beat his opponent 2-0 to sweep the series. Winning his first game 64-27, Neil increased the pressure in the second game to win 72-34. This moves the Gizzard 2K team to a season record of 2-1.
• The Jayettes represented Jesuit last weekend in the American All-Star’s National Championship in Orlando, Florida. They came away with 1st place in their division for all 5 of their routines, were the highest scoring team in the competition, and were crowned High School National Champions.
• The lacrosse team took on Willow School on Wednesday night and won 10-5. Cole Couvillon, Augusto Richard, and Coleman Edwards each put up 2 to lead the jays to a win.
• On Tuesday, the 9th grade baseball team defeated Brother Martin 6-1.  Maes Martin was the winning pitcher and Zach Friloux pitched well in relief.  
• On Saturday, the varsity baseball team defeated Hahnville 3-1.  Bryce Pitts was the winning pitcher and Gates Barre picked up the save.  Pitts struck out 10 in the game.  Gates Barre and Hunter Oufnac each had multiple hits.  
• On Tuesday, the varsity baseball team beat Holy Cross 6-2.  William Good was the winning pitcher and struck out nine batters.  Good hit a solo homerun in the contest.  Gates Barre and Patrick Berrigan each had two hits.
